Oscar Night® America 2010


General Info

Cinema St. Louis hosts its annual Oscar Night® America fundraiser, St. Louis' only Oscar® party officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, from 6-10:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the Crowne Plaza Clayton, Plaza Grill and Restaurant, 7750 Carondelet Avenue.

Participants - who must be 21 or older - will watch ABC's telecast of the 82nd Academy Awards® ceremony on more than two dozen high-definition TVs. Complimentary Stella Artois will be available throughout the night; a reception from 6-7 p.m. will feature complimentary wine; and a buffet of appetizers by the Pasta House Co. and Plaza Grill will be served from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The Oscar® telecast, hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, will begin at 7 p.m. with red-carpet arrivals. Local host Mark Reardon of KMOX (1120 AM) will give away attendance prizes during live segments during commercial breaks. A silent auction will be held throughout the evening, and select items will be auctioned live by the Pasta House Co.'s Kim Tucci.

Tickets

Tickets are $75 for VIP ($50 tax deductible) or $50 ($25 tax deductible). Price includes pre-telecast cokctail reception (cash bar after 7 p.m.); buffet of appetizers by the Pasta House Co. and Plaza Grill (regular menu items will also be available for purchase); silent and live auctions; and attendance prizes. VIP tickets include a gift bag with either an official Oscar® program or a limited-edition event poster, plus other exclusive items. Free parking is available in the hotel garage and on the street.
