This delightful short-form animated series – each episode is only a few minutes’ long – showcases poems for children (such as Sarah Coleridge’s “The Months,” William Wise’s “When I Grow Up,” David Henry Souter’s “And the ’Roo Jumped Over the Moon,” John Howard Payne’s “No Place Like Home,” and Mary Ann Hoberman’s “Ducks”) set to scenes and imagery from classic Disney films, including “Dumbo,” “Bambi,” and “Lady and the Tramp.” Narrated by Katie Holmes and Jennifer Garner, the series is designed to cultivate fond memories of Disney classics for older viewers and create new ones for kids by introducing young children to the beauty of a poem. The poems are read by such actors as Jessica Alba, John Leguizamo, Liev Schreiber, Kenneth Branagh, Whoopi Goldberg, Owen Wilson, and Katie Holmes. The series was supervised by native St. Louisan Brian Hohlfeld, who will introduce the films and hold a Q&A.
