One part “Twilight Zone” and two parts Frank Capra fantasy, “Shuffle” is the tale of a man named Lovell (T.J. Thyne, “Bones”) who begins experiencing his life out of order: Every day he wakes up at a different age, on a different day of his life, never knowing where or when he’s going to find himself after he sleeps. Lovell is understandably terrified and wants the time-shuffling to stop – until he notices a pattern, which sets him to work uncovering why the phenomenon is occurring and the force behind it. The film’s striking prosthetic old-age makeup is by Barney Burman, winner of the 2010 Academy Award® for Best Makeup for “Star Trek.” “Shuffle” is written, directed, and scored by Kurt Kuenne, director of the acclaimed documentary “Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father,” which won SLIFF’s Audience Choice Award in 2008.

With director Kuenne.
