Like most arts nonprofits, Cinema St. Louis holds fundraisers to sustain our annual programs. At our annual J. Kim Tucci Bowlathon on Jan. 23, Cinema St. Louis board members and staff will channel the Dude in “The Big Lebowski” in a friendly competition to raise money.

The Bowlathon started in 2011 thanks to the passion and fun spirit of former Cinema St. Louis Board Chair J. Kim Tucci. CSL and the St. Louis community lost Kim in 2019, and we continue this fundraiser in loving memory of Kim.

You can join the effort in one of two ways: by either sponsoring a bowler or participating in our new Strike-It-Rich Contest. Or refuse to pick a lane and do both!

Sponsor a Bowler

You can sponsor a bowler through the link at the right of the page.

At the confirmation screen, just enter the name of the bowler you would like to sponsor: Select one of our Staff Members (Cliff Froehlich, Chris Clark, Brian Spath, or Bree Maniscalco) or one of our Board Members.

Strike-It-Rich Contest

Another way to help is by participating in our new Strike-It-Rich Contest.

A 50/50 raffle, Strike-It-Rich will award the winner half of the proceeds generated by the contest. The number of raffle entries that a participant receives will depend on the amount contributed and the number of strikes that the board and staff roll during the big competition.

Here’s how it works:

  • Contribute $10, you receive one raffle entry for every strike bowled.
  • Contribute $25, you receive five entries for every strike bowled.
  • Contribute $50, you receive 10 entries for every strike bowled.

To participate, sign up through the Strike-It-Rich button at the right. And on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, watch our social media for live updates on the bowling competition.

Once the bowling competition has been completed, the raffle winner will be drawn.

Remember: The more you can spare, the greater the impact you’ll have on our programs in 2022 and beyond.

Why be a sleeper? Be a head pin and join in the fun today!
