Nurse "Coffy" Coffin leads a double life. During the day, she's a nurse at work. At night, she's an avenging angel on a personal vendetta, tracking down the pushers who hooked her younger sister on drugs. Along the way, she meets an honest police detective who is also leading a double life. Coffy is played by veteran blaxploitation actress Pam Grier, who won the 2017 SLIFF Women in Film Award at the screening of the locally filmed “Bad Grandmas.” The film is part of the Cinema St. Louis “Golden Anniversaries: Films of 1973” series.
