Four popular Sicilian feasts illustrate ancient traditions and spectacular rites, often not well known or considered dangerous by the public order. Throughout the year, the communities of farmers or fishermen spend several months preparing for these events, finding in them the full expression of their collective identity. The ancestral link with the territory is identified with a specific natural element representative of that place.
